North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has announced a Special Recruitment Drive for 2026. NEIGRIHMS offers a competitive remuneration package with a basic pay at Level 11 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (Rs. 67,700/- per month), along with Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) and other allowances as per central government rules. The total monthly emolument can range significantly based on applicable allowances, making it an attractive career option for medical graduates.
The tenure of appointment is three years, during which candidates will gain extensive clinical exposure, develop teaching skills, and build a strong foundation for their medical career. Eligible candidates must possess MD, MS, or DNB qualifications in the relevant specialty, recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The age limit is 45 years as on the last date of application, with relaxations of 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10-15 years for PwBD candidates as per government norms.
