The Women Development and Child Welfare (WDCW) Department, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh, has announced recruitment for 04 positions including PT Instructor cum Yoga Teacher, House Keeper, and Ayah on outsourcing basis for working women hostels in the district. The WDCW Department operates Working Women Hostels across Andhra Pradesh to provide safe, affordable, and comfortable accommodation facilities for employed women who migrate from rural and semi-urban areas to cities for work. These hostels offer secure residential facilities, nutritious meals, recreational amenities, and a supportive environment enabling women to pursue their careers with peace of mind. The staff at these hostels play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, ensuring safety, providing healthcare support, and creating a home-like atmosphere for residents.

About Women Development and Child Welfare Department

The Department of Women Development and Child Welfare is a key department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh dedicated to the welfare, empowerment, and protection of women and children. The department implements various schemes and programs including working women hostels, child care centers, nutrition programs, women empowerment initiatives, prevention of violence against women, skill development programs, and welfare schemes for vulnerable groups.

Working Women Hostels are established under the Central Sector Scheme to provide safe and affordable accommodation to working women with family income up to Rs. 50,000 per month. The hostels provide boarding and lodging facilities at subsidized rates, common facilities like TV room, reading room, recreation facilities, medical assistance, counseling services, and skill development programs. The department currently operates several such hostels in Kurnool district catering to hundreds of working women employed in various sectors including teaching, nursing, banking, IT, government services, and private companies.

Post-wise Vacancy Details

The total number of vacancies is 04 positions distributed across different categories for working women hostels in Kurnool district. The positions include:

PT Instructor cum Yoga Teacher (01 Post): This position involves conducting physical training exercises, yoga sessions, meditation classes, and fitness activities for hostel residents. The instructor will design exercise routines suitable for working women, conduct morning and evening yoga sessions, organize health and wellness workshops, maintain fitness equipment, track health parameters of residents, and promote overall physical and mental well-being. The role requires enthusiasm for fitness, knowledge of various yoga asanas and pranayama techniques, ability to motivate and inspire participants, and dedication to improving health outcomes.

House Keeper (02 Posts): House Keepers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hostel premises including rooms, corridors, dining hall, kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas. Duties include daily cleaning and mopping of floors, dusting furniture and fixtures, cleaning bathrooms and toilets, washing bed linen and curtains, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, proper waste disposal, pest control coordination, minor maintenance work, and ensuring overall hygienic environment. The position requires physical fitness, attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Ayah (01 Post): The Ayah provides general assistance in hostel operations including helping in kitchen activities, serving meals, cleaning utensils, assisting residents with minor needs, maintaining discipline, reporting issues to warden, supporting during medical emergencies, and performing other duties as assigned by the hostel superintendent or warden. The role requires compassion, helping nature, ability to work in team, flexibility in working hours, and dedication to resident welfare.

Educational Qualification Requirements

For PT Instructor cum Yoga Teacher: Candidates must possess a Degree or Diploma in Physical Education from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, certification in Yoga from a recognized yoga institute or organization is mandatory. Candidates with B.P.Ed (Bachelor of Physical Education), D.P.Ed (Diploma in Physical Education), or equivalent qualifications along with Yoga certification from reputed institutes like The Yoga Institute, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, or state-recognized yoga training centers are eligible. Practical experience in conducting yoga classes or physical training sessions is an added advantage.

For House Keeper: Candidates must have passed 10th class (SSC) from a recognized board. Higher qualifications are desirable but not mandatory. Basic literacy and ability to understand instructions in Telugu language is essential. Candidates with prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning services, or facility management in hostels, hotels, hospitals, or institutions will be given preference.

For Ayah: Candidates must have passed 10th class (SSC) examination from a recognized board. Candidates with experience in hostel operations, mess services, or general assistance in residential institutions will be preferred. Knowledge of basic cooking, serving, and hygiene practices is advantageous. Ability to communicate in Telugu is mandatory as interaction with residents is required.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The minimum age for all positions is 25 years, and the maximum age limit is 45 years as on the date of notification. Age is calculated as on 02 February 2026 (the notification release date). Candidates born between 02 February 1981 and 02 February 2001 are eligible to apply. Age proof will be verified through 10th class certificate or birth certificate issued by competent authority.

Upper age relaxation is provided as per Government of Andhra Pradesh rules: SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation (up to 50 years), OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get 3 years relaxation (up to 48 years), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) get 10 years relaxation (up to 55 years), and Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per applicable rules. Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from husbands also get 5 years age relaxation. Cumulative relaxation for multiple categories is subject to maximum limits as per government orders.

Salary and Remuneration

The monthly remuneration for different positions is as follows: PT Instructor cum Yoga Teacher will receive Rs. 10,000/- per month as consolidated salary. This is a fixed monthly payment without separate allowances. House Keeper positions carry monthly remuneration of Rs. 8,000/- per month. Ayah position offers Rs. 7,944/- per month. The salaries are paid monthly through bank transfer directly to the employee's account.

The engagement is on outsourcing/contract basis without conferring any regular employment status or government employee benefits. There are no additional allowances like DA, HRA, or TA. However, employees may be eligible for festival advance, uniform allowance, or other benefits as per department policy. The contract is initially for 11 months and may be renewed annually based on performance, requirement, and budget allocation. Satisfactory performance can lead to contract renewal for multiple years.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted through a transparent process involving scrutiny of applications and personal interview. First, all received applications will be screened to verify eligibility regarding educational qualifications, age limit, and other criteria. Only eligible candidates will be shortlisted for further process.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview at the office of Project Director, Women Development and Child Welfare Department, Kurnool. The interview will be conducted by a Selection Committee comprising senior officials from the WDCW department. For PT Instructor cum Yoga Teacher position, candidates may be asked to demonstrate yoga asanas and physical exercises as practical test during interview. The interview will assess candidate's knowledge, skills, communication ability, attitude, physical fitness, and overall suitability for the position.

For House Keeper and Ayah positions, the interview will focus on understanding the candidate's experience, willingness to work, flexibility in working hours, hygiene awareness, and commitment to providing quality services. Final selection will be based on performance in interview and verification of documents. Selected candidates will be informed through phone/email and must report for joining within the stipulated time.

Important Dates

Notification release date: 02 February 2026. Last date for submission of offline applications: 09 February 2026. Applications must reach the office before or on the closing date. Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances. This is a very short application window (only 7 days), so candidates are advised to prepare and submit applications immediately.

Scrutiny of applications: 10-12 February 2026. Shortlisted candidate list: Will be published on the official website and notice board around 13-14 February 2026. Interview dates: Expected in the third week of February 2026 (exact dates will be intimated to shortlisted candidates through SMS and email). Result declaration: Within one week of interview completion. Selected candidates must join within 7-10 days of receiving appointment order.

How to Apply Offline

The application process is completely OFFLINE. Candidates must submit handwritten or typed applications on plain A4 size paper addressed to the Project Director, Women Development and Child Welfare Department, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh. The application should contain the following details: Full name of candidate, Father's/Husband's name, Date of birth and age, Complete postal address with pin code, Mobile number and email ID (if any), Educational qualifications with year of passing and board/university, Relevant experience details (if any), Caste category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/General), Whether physically challenged (Yes/No), and Post applied for.

Candidates applying through post should ensure applications reach before the last date. Keep postal receipt and extra copy of application for future reference.

Documents Required for Interview

Candidates called for interview must bring the following original documents along with one set of photocopies: All educational certificates (10th, 12th, Degree, Diploma, Yoga certification), Date of birth proof (SSC certificate or birth certificate), Caste certificate (if claiming reservation), Income certificate for EWS, Disability certificate (for PwD), Experience certificates on letterhead with seal and signature, Recent passport size photographs (4-5 copies), Aadhar Card, Any other relevant certificates or testimonials, and Copy of submitted application. Failure to produce original documents will lead to disqualification from the selection process.

Terms and Conditions

Selected candidates will be engaged on outsourcing/contract basis and will not be considered as government employees. The engagement is initially for 11 months and may be extended based on performance and requirement. There is no guarantee of absorption or regularization into government service. The contract can be terminated by the department with 15 days notice without assigning any reason. Selected candidates must execute an agreement as per department norms.

Employees must adhere to hostel timings and be available during duty hours including evenings and weekends as per roster. For PT Instructor, conducting morning yoga sessions (usually 6-7 AM) and evening fitness classes is mandatory. House Keepers and Ayah may be required to work in shifts including early mornings and late evenings. Weekly off will be provided as per roster. Employees must maintain discipline, cleanliness, professional conduct, and treat hostel residents with respect and dignity.

Providing false information or fake certificates at any stage will lead to immediate termination of services and legal action. The department reserves the right to cancel the recruitment, increase or decrease vacancies, or modify terms and conditions without prior notice. Selected candidates will be posted at working women hostels in Kurnool district and may be transferred to other hostels based on administrative requirements.
