NPCIL Rawatbhata Rajasthan Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Complete Details

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site (RR Site), has officially released the NPCIL Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification under Advertisement No. RR Site/HRM/Apprentice/01/2026. A total of 245 vacancies have been announced for Trade Apprentice posts across 7 ITI trades including Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, COPA, Turner, Machinist, and Welder. The online application process opened on 26-02-2026 at 10:00 Hrs and the last date to apply is 18-03-2026 at 16:00 Hrs through the official careers portal www.npcilcareers.co.in.

NPCIL is a Government of India Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy and is India's premier nuclear power company. The Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site is one of NPCIL's major operational nuclear power stations, housing 6 units of pressurised heavy water reactors (PHWR). An apprenticeship at NPCIL provides candidates with world-class technical training in nuclear power plant operations and allied trades. The training duration is one year and selected candidates receive a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs.9,600/- throughout the training period.

About NPCIL Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site

The Rajasthan Atomic Power Station (RAPS) at Rawatbhata, Rajasthan, is one of India's oldest and largest nuclear power plants, operated by NPCIL. It has 6 operational units with a total capacity of 1,180 MW. The plant employs thousands of technical professionals and regularly recruits apprentices to train the next generation of skilled workers in the nuclear energy sector. Working or training at RAPS provides unmatched technical exposure.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold an ITI Pass Certificate in the relevant trade from a Full-Time / Regular course from an NCVT/SCVT affiliated institute. The ITI must be in one of the 7 specified trades. Part-time or distance mode ITI certificates are not eligible.

Age Limit

Minimum 18 years and Maximum 24 years as on 18-03-2026. Age relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years | OBC (NCL) – 3 years | PwBD (General/EWS) – 10 years | PwBD (SC/ST) – 15 years | PwBD (OBC-NCL) – 13 years.

Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs.9,600/- throughout the one-year training period. This is a fixed stipend with no PF, Gratuity, HRA, DA or Medical benefits during the apprenticeship. Stipend is credited directly to the candidate's bank account every month.

Selection Process

Selection is purely merit-based: (1) Merit List – Candidates shortlisted based on marks obtained in ITI in the relevant trade. Higher ITI percentage means higher merit. (2) Document Verification – Shortlisted candidates verify ITI certificate, marksheets, age proof, category certificate, Aadhaar. (3) Medical Examination – Candidates undergo medical fitness test at NPCIL Rawatbhata site and must meet prescribed standards. (4) Final Engagement – Candidates clearing all stages are formally engaged as Trade Apprentices for one year.
