District Court Gurugram Peon Recruitment 2026

Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Gurugram has invited applications for the recruitment of 36 Peon / Additional Peon posts on ad-hoc basis. These posts are purely temporary, created to meet immediate administrative requirements and will continue for a period of 6 months or till regular appointments are made, whichever is earlier.

This is a good opportunity for candidates with basic educational qualification who wish to work in the Haryana District Court establishment. Selected candidates will get a fixed monthly salary, exposure to court working environment and experience certificate which may help in future government recruitments.

Salary and Job Nature

Selected candidates will be paid a consolidated fixed salary of Rs. 16,900/- per month. No other allowances such as DA, HRA, TA etc. will be admissible as this is not a regular post.

Peons are Class IV / Group D employees responsible for basic support services in the court. They assist in maintaining cleanliness, carrying files, serving summons/notice under supervision, and performing other minor official duties as assigned by the authorities.

Educational Qualification

• Minimum Qualification: Middle Standard (8th Pass).
• Candidates who have studied beyond 10th/12th are also eligible, but they should possess the minimum qualification of Middle Pass.
• Knowledge of Hindi language is essential; knowledge of Punjabi will be an added advantage.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 42 years
• Cut-off Date: 01.01.2026

Age Relaxation (as per Haryana Govt. rules)

• SC / ST / BC of Haryana: Relaxation as per state norms.
• PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other reserved categories: Relaxation as per government instructions.
• Candidates belonging to other states will be treated as General category for age and reservation.

Application Fee

As this is a district-level ad-hoc recruitment, no application fee is mentioned in the notification. Candidates can apply free of cost by following the prescribed procedure.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on merit and performance in interview. There is usually no written examination for Peon posts in district courts.

Stage 1: Scrutiny of Applications

• All applications received by the last date will be scrutinized.
• Candidates not fulfilling eligibility (age, qualification) will be rejected.

Stage 2: Interview / Oral Test

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
• Interview will assess general personality, communication, basic understanding, and suitability for the job.
• Preference may be given to candidates with prior experience in government offices or courts.

Stage 3: Document Verification

• Original documents of shortlisted candidates will be verified.
• If any discrepancy or fake document is found, candidature will be cancelled.
