Age Limit
The age limit for ECHS Jalandhar Recruitment 2026 varies according to the post: Medical Officers & Dental Officers: Maximum 55 years; Para-Medical Staff: 18 to 40 years; Administrative & Support Staff: 18 to 45 years; Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per Government of India rules. Age will be calculated as on the last date of application submission. Relaxation in upper age limit is available for reserved category candidates - 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and relaxation for Ex-Servicemen as per their service tenure.

Educational Qualifications & Experience Requirements
For Officer In-Charge (OIC) Polyclinic: Candidates must possess a Graduate degree from a recognized university with at least 5 years of administrative experience in healthcare management or military establishments. Ex-Servicemen with equivalent qualifications and experience will be given preference. For Medical Officer Posts: Essential qualification includes MBBS degree from a recognized Medical Council of India (MCI) approved institution with valid registration certificate. Candidates must have completed their compulsory rotatory internship. Minimum 2-5 years of clinical experience in general practice or hospital settings is required. MD/MS or Post-Graduate Diploma in relevant specialization will be an added advantage. For Dental Officer Posts: BDS degree from a recognized dental college with valid registration from Dental Council of India (DCI). Completion of rotatory internship is mandatory. MDS qualification holders with specialization will be preferred and may receive higher remuneration. For Pharmacist Posts: Diploma or Degree (D.Pharma/B.Pharma) in Pharmacy from a recognized institution with valid registration from State Pharmacy Council. Practical experience in hospital pharmacy or retail pharmacy for at least 1-2 years is desirable. For Laboratory Technician Posts: DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) or B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution. Hands-on experience in clinical laboratory procedures including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology is essential. For Nursing Assistant Posts: GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) Diploma or equivalent qualification with valid registration from State Nursing Council. Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in clinical settings required. For Clerk/DEO Posts: Graduate degree from a recognized university with knowledge of office procedures and computer operations. Data Entry Operators must have typing speed of minimum 30-40 words per minute in English and proficiency in MS Office applications. For Support Staff: Minimum qualification varies from Literate to 8th Class pass. Physical fitness and ability to perform assigned duties are essential.
