Important Instructions Regarding Fee Payment:

  • Complete the online registration first, then proceed to fee payment
  • Save the payment receipt/transaction ID for future reference
  • Application without proper fee payment will be rejected
  • Do not send application fee through Demand Draft, Cheque, or Cash
  • For any payment-related issues, contact VNIT helpdesk within 48 hours
  • In case of double payment, refund will be processed after verification

Important Notes on Age Relaxation:

  • Age relaxation is not applicable for direct recruitment to Group A posts except for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates
  • The cumulative age relaxation under more than one of the above categories will not exceed maximum limit prescribed (generally 15 years)
  • Candidates seeking age relaxation must submit relevant certificates issued by competent authority
  • OBC certificate should be in the format prescribed by Government of India
  • Non-Creamy Layer certificate for OBC candidates should not be older than one year from the closing date
  • PwBD certificate must be issued by medical board constituted by Central/State Government
  • Ex-servicemen must submit discharge certificate and character certificate from armed forces

Qualification

Educational Qualification Requirements

For Group A Posts (Librarian, Engineer, Medical Officer):

Librarian:

  • Master's degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade
  • Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at Bachelor's degree level
  • Qualification in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET
  • OR Ph.D. degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation
  • Evidence of innovative library services including innovative services with InfLIBNET, OCLC, networking of libraries and information centers
  • Minimum 13 years of experience as Deputy Librarian or equivalent position in university library/college library/national level institutions

Deputy Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical):

  • Bachelor of Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant discipline (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) from AICTE approved institution
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in design, execution, and maintenance of projects
  • Experience in government organizations, PSUs, or reputed private firms will be preferred
  • Knowledge of PWD codes, CPWD specifications, and relevant IS codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software

For Group B Posts (Assistant Engineer, Superintendent, Assistant Librarian):

Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical):

  • Bachelor of Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent in Civil/Electrical Engineering
  • Valid GATE score or Graduation with first class (60% marks or equivalent CGPA)
  • For direct recruitment: Fresh graduates with valid GATE score can apply
  • Computer proficiency including knowledge of engineering software and MS Office

Superintendent:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline from recognized university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in administrative work in government/semi-government/autonomous organization
  • Proficiency in office procedures, file management, and administration
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Office
  • Good command over English and Hindi languages (written and spoken)

Assistant Librarian:

  • Master's degree in Library Science/Information Science with at least 55% marks
  • NET in Library Science conducted by UGC or equivalent
  • Knowledge of library automation software, digital library management
  • Familiarity with classification systems (DDC, UDC) and cataloguing standards

Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical):

  • Diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from recognized polytechnic (minimum 3 years duration)
  • OR Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in relevant discipline
  • Minimum 60% marks in diploma or degree
  • Knowledge of engineering drawing, AutoCAD, and MS Office

For Group C Posts (Assistant, Technical Assistant, Support Staff):

Assistant (Administration/Accounts):

  • Bachelor's degree from recognized university
  • Typing speed: 35 words per minute in English OR 30 words per minute in Hindi
  • Computer proficiency including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of office procedures and correspondence

Technical Assistant:

  • Diploma in Engineering/Technology in relevant discipline (Minimum 3 years)
  • OR B.Sc. in relevant Science subject with Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory work and equipment handling
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and laboratory management

Junior Assistant:

  • 12th standard pass (10+2) from recognized board
  • Typing speed: 35 words per minute in English OR 30 words per minute in Hindi
  • Computer knowledge: MS Office, Email, Internet browsing

Laboratory Attendant/Workshop Attendant:

  • 10th standard pass (Matriculation/SSC)
  • ITI certificate in relevant trade (for Workshop Attendant)
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory/workshop equipment
  • Willingness to work in laboratory/workshop environment
